Scored this puppy for $750.

That said, after flights, motel stay, rental car, new windscreen, registration, and petrol to get it 1400 km home, it’s more like $2500.

That said, it was a pretty great feeling to finally score this one after an exhaustive 6 month search.

Hell yes. I love the blue, so rare to see. I almost bought an $800 manual 740 turbo in that colour. I kind of wish I did, but it was also fairly rusty, so it’s probably good I didn’t...

Pretty happy with it!

Yeah, rust is a killer. IMO, I can deal with basic maintenance, and some mechanical fixes; I’ve changed shocks and differentials and even took on a head swap once ( which admittedly failed ). But bodywork... ugh. Avoid at all costs, hey.

1989, has all the sexy Turbo and Intercooler badges, AND the stock stereo which I’m really excited about. Needs shocks and there’s a weird issue with brake pedal feel. I’m working on the video and the full story’ll hit Youtube before the end of the year I reckon. ;)

Just to get me through college, since my Integra got stolen. Not really sure what my plan is after that. I’ll probably keep it a few years after college just to save some money. Than get a relatively new car for a dd and then a project car.

Ah, that’s rough mate.

Definitely get where you’re coming from re: newer cars. I drove my mate’s 2017 Polo TSI... with the DSG, even at 81KW that thing is dope af. Made me question why I’m driving around in 30 year old hoopties but, character I guess :P
